Sources

Rules, prize amounts, odds and drawing schedules come from official sources: Powerball.com, the Multi-State Lottery Association and individual state lotteries. Winning numbers on our results pages come from the New York State open data feed of official drawings. Tax information is based on IRS publications and state revenue departments. When rules differ by state, we say so.

Accuracy and math

We calculate odds and expected values ourselves and show our working where practical. Jackpot amounts are estimates announced by the lottery and change as sales come in; we label them as estimates.

No predictions

Powerball drawings are random. We may describe historical patterns (such as how often a number has appeared), but we never claim that past results make any number more or less likely to be drawn, and we do not sell or promote “winning systems.”

Use of AI tools

We use AI-assisted tools to help research, draft and organize articles. Before publication, every article is checked against official sources and our editorial rules (no predictions, no invented figures, clear sourcing), and we take full responsibility for everything we publish.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and update the article’s “Updated” date. Report errors through our contact page.

Independence and advertising

TodayPowerball is supported by advertising. Advertisers have no influence over our articles, and we do not accept payment for coverage. We are not affiliated with any lottery operator.
